We are pleased that you are interested in our new Master of Arts in Physics Education graduate program.

Our Graduate Brochure describes our faculty and their research efforts. An application package can be downloaded from the Graduate Admissions Office web site or email grad-info-request@physics.virginia.edu, and materials will be mailed to you.

For Question 1 on page 1 of the application form - "Semester of Entrance" please write above the boxes "Semester Code 153"

Please use the following on page 2 of the application form (Academic Information):

  1. Question 2: Physics
  2. Question 3: Physics Education
  3. Question 4: 671902
  4. Question 5: Check "No "
  5. Question 6: Check "Part time"

In addition to the application forms, the following documents should be sent directly to the Dean of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences:

  1. One official transcript of all previous study;
  2. Letters of recommendation from at least two former professors, advisors, or supervisors;
  3. Official Graduate Record Examination scores (General and Subject Tests) will be considered, but are not mandatory;
  4. Check or money order for the $40 application fee.

When these have been received we will recommend a decision on your application and inform you of this action through the Graduate School.
