Text Book: Physics for Scientists and Engineers, vol. 2, 5th edition, by serway and Beichner.

Grade Weighting:       two in-class exams:  25% each
                                           problem sets:             20% total
                                           Final exam:                30%

Problem Sets: 

There will be 10 problem sets. They will be assigned every Friday on the annuncements section of the class web page and will be by by 10.00 AM following Friday. You are allowed to work together and seek TA help for problem sets.

With the exeption of the in-class exams, all information related to PHYS 232 will be distributed electronically through the class web-site and not in a paper version.  The web is surely powerful and I believe it will be more convenient for most of you in following our course this term. However, if you have a reason to need a paper version of any of the documents in the course's web page, please contact me via e-mail (nl8n) or by phone(4-6596). Always remember, course material will be posted in this web page well before any paper version can be delivered to you. If you would like to receive e-mail notification every time a new document related to  232 is posted in this web site, please let me know.
