202L & 242L Late Policy

Spring 1999

Late Arrival for Lab

Late arrival for any lab session is very disruptive and is not tolerated.

After a 10-minute initial grace period, the TAs will deduct one (1) point from your grade (maximum 10 points) for each successive full or partial segment of 15 minutes of lateness.

Late Turning in Lab Journals and Reports

Your lab journals and reports are due one week after you have done the experiment.

After one week, the grade for your report will be deducted by one (1) point per day.

Absence

If you must miss a lab session because you are ill, or out of town on a University-sponsored trip, you must submit a written excuse petition signed by you to your TA.

Please submit the petition in advance if possible, and by no means later than the next scheduled lab period.

Without a bona fide reason, all absentees automatically receive a grade of zero (0) for that experiment.

No make-up lab sessions are scheduled. Special arrangements might be made to make up an experiment during the same week, but will not always be possible. So don't count on it.
