Text Book:      Physics for Scientists and Engineers, vol. 2, 6th edition, by serway and Beichner.
                            (Chapters 23-46)

Grade Weighting:       two in-class exams:      25% each
                                           problem sets:           20% total
                                           Final exam:                30%

Problem Sets:    

There will be 10 problem sets. They will be assigned every Friday on the homework  section of the class web page and will be due by 10.00 AM following Friday. You are allowed to work together and seek TA help for problem sets.
Solutions for each homework assignment will be posted on the homework page after the due date
Important, please read:

   You should read the sections of the textbook listed in the syllabus before coming to lecture.  The lecture will be used to explain the concepts.  I will try to avoid long derivations in class.  In each lecture we will workout a couple of sample problems from the text book. The solutions to these sample problems will be posted on the lecture supplements section.
