Dates and Location:
August 1 -14, 2001; 8:30 am - 4:30 pm Mon-Fri. Class held in room 22, Physics
Building, UVa, Charlottesville.
Credit:
3 hours graduate credit. Register through the Charlottesville office of
the UVa School of Continuing and Professional Studies.
Textbook:
An Introduction to Physical Science, 9th ed (2000) by Shipman, Wilson,
and Todd. Houghton Mifflin Company. ISBN 0-395-95570-X
Copies of the textbook are available in the University of Virginia Book Store
that is located next to Newcomb Hall and on top of the Central Parking Garage.

Laboratory Journal:
You will be required to write the results of your hands-on activities in a journal.
We will discuss in class what kind of journal you should purchase.
