Title: Measurement of Electronic Radial Probability Distributions Using Time- Resolved Isolated Core Excitation

Abstract:

The approximate time-dependent radial probability distribution of a 4snd wavepacket in Ca has been measured using time-resolved excitation of the 4s core electron to the 4p state. In principle, this method can be very effective for monitoring the evolution of radial Rydberg wavepackets in multi-electron atoms.
