Abstract:Photoabsorption spectra have been measured as a continuous function of energy and applied electric field for the m=0, 1, and 2 Rydberg series in sodium. The spectra are Fourier transformed in scaled coordinates generating scaled recurrence maps. The continuous nature of the scaled maps allows us to investigate patterns in the recurrence strength with good resolution.
