Title: Decoherence Suppression in a Resonant Driving Field

Abstract:

We examine experimentally the decoherence of single quantum bits encoded in the probability amplitudes of $np$ fine-structure states in Li Rydberg atoms. We exploit electronic spin-orbit coupling and utilize a resonant radio frequency field to create a robust decoherence-free subspace which effectively immunizes the qubits against errors.
