1. Always wear lab coats or aprons
2. Always wear approved safety glasses or goggles
3. Use care with open flames in the laboratory
4. Learn location of eyewash facilities
5. Learn location of fire extinguishers, fire blankets, fire showers and first aid kit
6. Avoid contact with solvents
7. Do not breathe solvent vapors
8. Do not pour chemicals down sink drain, dispose of all materials in properly labeled containers
9. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry
10. Absolutely no food or drink is permitted in the laboratory
11. You are all scientists, behave accordingly-NO HORSEPLAY
12. A clean laboratory is a safe laboratory, practice good housekeeping skills
13. Report all injuries and accident's to the instructor immediately, no matter how minor
14. Do not under any circumstances deface any lab equipment or lab furniture
